The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (commonly referred to as just University of Illinois) is a public university. It is located in Urbana and Champaign Illinois. It ranked #38 in US News's 2008 "National Universities: Top Schools" list.[2] It was ranked the #6 school in PC Magazine's Top 20 Wired Colleges.[3]


Illinois has 10 men's and 11 women's sports teams.[1] The football program has won 6 bowl games (while losing 8), including 4 national championships.[4]
