Conservapedia:Should We Support Democrats For Life.org?

I want to support other organizations that want to end abortion. I am a Republican and do not support Democrats. Do we, as conservatives, support this group Democratsforlife.com? I noticed their aggressive promotion during the last election cycle.I feel that it is a front to get votes and doen't really care to promote life. Just having the words Democrats and life doesn't make much sense. Protecting life goes well beyond partisan politics. I have real doubts to their true intentions. They were not against Democrat candidates that promote the murder of boys and girls in the womb. So if we conservatives do not support their organization, we should continue to expose their hypocrisy and continue to vilify them, correct? Prove me wrong.--jp 00:09, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

To me, protecting innocent lives is far more important than partisan politics. I think it is disingeneous to accuse people of not caring about lives just because they have liberal economics views. DanH 00:10, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

I think that the government should have no say in what a women wants to do with her own body, and her unborn child. Now, on a personal level, I only support abortion to an exent. But I don't think that people own personal values should have control over someone elses who could be totally different. thegovernator

  • I think this question can be applied to the generic situation of one-issue voters. If one is a republican, there is a certain value set that accompanies that position. There are many issues that go into one's decision to vote a certain way or support a certain candidate. Personally, I would hope that people would look beyond a single position and look at the situation as a whole. Being a one issue voter is therefore narrow-minded. You have no proof of how they voted, only how the organization feels. Just because one is conservative does not mean you always vote for republicains just as if one is a liberal you also sometimes vote for republicains. --Mmmunchh 01:02, 11 May 2008 (EDT)
