Conwy is a small town on the North coast of Wales, lying at the mouth of the River Conwy. It has a fine example of a concentric castle, and large sections of the original town walls still stand. The artificial 'Mulberry' harbors which were so instrumental in the success of the Normandy landings during World War II were developed and tested in Conwy. The local mussels are a delicacy.
