Debate:Was Ann Coulter's Statement About Republicans, Israel, and Jews Anti-Semitic?

In 2015, Ann Coulter said, "How many f---ing Jews do [2015 Republican primary candidates] think there are in the United States?" in reference to the alleged frequent discussions of Zionism and the State of Israel at that particular debate.[1]

She subsequently appeared on Fox News to say that the GOP candidates were "pandering," although she said they were pandering to "evangelicals," not Jews.

Was her tweet anti-Semitic?

Personally, I think it was. I know that Coulter herself is not an anti-Semite, but I believe that this particular statement was anti-Semitic.

First of all, it plays into the common belief of anti-Semites, on both the left and the fringe right, that Republicans pander to Zionists and to Israel.

Second of all, it involves another anti-Semitic trope in associating "Jews" with Israel. Saying, "How many...Jews," when you're talking about Israel is anti-Semitic. It's what the organizers of the 2019 Women's March did when they excluded Jewish women for fear of offending "Palestinians."

So, my view is that, although Coulter herself is not anti-Semitic, this statement was.
