Eastern Michigan University
Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is a public university located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Established in 1849 as Michigan State Normal School, it was the first teacher-training school in Michigan and the fourth in the United States. Over the years, EMU has evolved into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. As of 2020, the university has an enrollment of approximately 16,000 students.
