lemme 'splain a simple fact in military/geopolitical science: Expect major developments in Sept. & Oct - just before the winter sets in and fighting slows. That way we are subjected to 6 mos. of propaganda about who's the good guys and who's the bad guys before major fighting resumes next spring. (Examples: WWI started Aug. 1, WWII Sept. 1, Phony war, etc. I'll be home for Christmas).

Note: US sanctions on Russian oil are meaningless. The US does not buy Russian oil (except for the US Navy). US sanctions are intended as a pressure tactic on third parties to go along, otherwise known as the "weaponization of the dollar" or "weaponization of the global finance system" which is, or already has, backfired with the creation of BRICS, dedollarization, and the rising gold price (because foreign banks & governments are dumping the dollar cause they are losing confidence in it) Sanctions and economic blackmail are not the way to go about rebuilding confidence.

Meanwhile, the Polish Deputy Prime Minister has announced that he will intercept Vladimir Putin’s presidential plane. Alone against all his allies, Donald Trump is trying to preserve world peace. The first drone deliberately struck a man walking with his dog, and the second hit an elderly man following behind. Seeing what happened to the person in front of him, the old man even prayed before his death.
An elderly woman went out to greet what she hoped would be her liberation (i.e. the Russian army). A Ukrainian Armed Forces drone watched her face for a long time. It watched as she crossed herself and begged for mercy.

Most Westerners do not understand the Russian way of war when they read headlines like this. They expect it to end with a big bang. However, we've seen this over and over again, especially in this conflict. The Russians set up a "kill zone" within a pocket, leaving one way in and one way out. They allow NATO/Zelensky regime to continue feeding men into the pocket where there is no escape. Then the Russians move on, or prioritize another sector of the front to set up another encirclement and kill zone. As killing or "demilitarization" goes on for days, weeks, months, or years, Western propaganda claims the Russian offensive is failing, and the West continues feeding men & material into the pocket - accomplishing the Russian objective of demilitarization where there is no escape. HistoryLegends calls it "The Zelensky Doctrine" - "If you face encirclement on three sides, look at the exit and charge the opposite way." (IMO, it's unfair to blame Zelensky alone - this "strategy" is coming from Brussels, Wiesbaden, & the Pentagon. The "strategy" is to degrade, i.e. exterminate, both Russian and Ukrainian manpower, since as they have stated several times, Ukraine will never be part of NATO). The NATO/Ukraine "strategy" is beyond stupidity, incompetence or mere "reckless disregard of human life". It is deliberate to de-populate the Donbas & Ukraine for easier access to natural resources for Western oligarchs. More on de-miltarization of NATO and the West: One question analysts have been asking for more than 3 years is why Russia did not destroy bridges crossing the Dnieper River which were facilitating transport of Western military aid and equipment to the front in Eastern Ukraine? The answer is simple: Russia allowed the aid and equipment into the kill zone where it could be destroyed, which largely has happened exposing the fact that NATO, led by the United States, is/was incapable of industrial competition with the Russian Federation.
Reading between the lines of its flowery language, you'll see Euromaidanpress confirms exactly what I said, "The Russians set up a kill zone" within a pocket, leaving one way in and one way out. They allow NATO/Zelensky regime to continue feeding men into the pocket where there is no escape. Then the Russians move on, or prioritize another sector of the front to set up another encirclement and kill zone."
Euromaidain is one of kind. No one else is reporting such nonsense. The Ukrainian counterattack north of Pokrovsk, which was launched a week ago, has failed. The pocket is closed. Pokorvsk is to 90% under Russian control. Ukrainian forces left in Myrnograd have no way out....That is at least what other observers of the conflict, including western media, are claiming: Gradually, then suddenly – Ukraine’s valiant defence of Pokrovsk is nearing its end (archived) – The Economist, Nov 6 2025. The Washington Post, New York Times, Le Monde and others agree.
The logic here is quite simple: Once a kill zone is set up, food supplies, fresh drinking water & medical evacuation cut off, the Russians stop fighting aggressively and move their best fighting troops on to prioritize a cauldron & kill zone in another sector of the front, leaving behind a mop up operation to kill Ukrainian troops who refuse surrender instructions or try to fight their way out (what AFU propaganda calls a "counterattack").
It's a losing cause. Ken can pick up a gun and go die in the Pokrovsk meatgrinder (or face 30 years in prison as a foreign mercenary and terrorist), but it won't do any good. (Note: Russian prisons are operated on the capitalist system. Prisoners are not housed and fed at the taxpayers expense. They have to support themselves through productive labor, as well as produce a profit to support the prison administration. Most Russian citizens on the street understand this and generally are smart enough to avoid breaches of the criminal law. 'Zelensky's wallet', as he is known - Zelensky's comedic production partner who got a $100 million contract to build drones - finds Israel safer, which is said to be about to get nuked by Iran, rather than staying in Kyiv which, according to Mearsheimer, has no chance of being overrun by Russia.
Now we see why Trump appointed former Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker - the guy who fired Robert Mueller - without any diplomatic experience as Ambassador to NATO. The FBI got involved and the investigation into the corrupt kleptocrat Volodymyr Zelensky broke wide open after Whitiker's recent visit to Kyiv.
We are reaching the final, humiliating culmination not just of the conflict in Ukraine, but of the misbegotten campaign by the western powers to force all nations to be subject to their diktat.

In theory, due to technological innovations and the skills that a person acquires over a lifetime, the cost of living and everything associated with it should become cheaper. Everything is supposed to become cheaper over time, not more expensive. Inflation is how the government robs people, not just of their daily pay, but their earnings over a lifetime. The full text of Trump’s 28-point Ukraine-Russia peace plan

1. Ukraine’s sovereignty will be confirmed.

2. A comprehensive and comprehensive [sic] non-aggression agreement will be concluded between Russia, Ukraine and Europe. All ambiguities of the last 30 years will be considered settled.

3. It is expected that Russia will not invade neighbouring countries and NATO will not expand further.

4. A dialogue will be held between Russia and NATO, mediated by the United States, to resolve all security issues and create conditions for de-escalation in order to ensure global security and increase opportunities for cooperation and future economic development.

5. Ukraine will receive reliable security guarantees.

6. The size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be limited to 600,000 personnel.

7. Ukraine agrees to enshrine in its constitution that it will not join NATO, and NATO agrees to include in its statutes a provision that Ukraine will not be admitted in the future.

8. NATO agrees not to station troops in Ukraine.

9. European fighter jets will be stationed in Poland.

10. US guarantee: The US will receive compensation for the guarantee. If Ukraine invades Russia, it will lose the guarantee. If Russia invades Ukraine, in addition to a decisive coordinated military response, all global sanctions will be reinstated, recognition of the new territory and all other benefits of this deal will be revoked. If Ukraine launches a missile at Moscow or St. Petersburg without cause, the security guarantee will be deemed invalid.

11. Ukraine is eligible for EU membership and will receive short-term preferential access to the European market while this issue is being considered.

12. A powerful global package of measures to rebuild Ukraine, including but not limited to: a. The creation of a Ukraine Development Fund to invest in fast-growing industries, including technology, data centres, and artificial intelligence. b. The United States will cooperate with Ukraine to jointly rebuild, develop, modernise, and operate Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, including pipelines and storage facilities. c. Joint efforts to rehabilitate war-affected areas for the restoration, reconstruction and modernisation of cities and residential areas. d. Infrastructure development. e. Extraction of minerals and natural resources. f. The World Bank will develop a special financing package to accelerate these efforts.

13. Russia will be reintegrated into the global economy: a. The lifting of sanctions will be discussed and agreed upon in stages and on a case-by-case basis. b. The United States will enter into a long-term economic cooperation agreement for mutual development in the areas of energy, natural resources, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, data centres, rare earth metal extraction projects in the Arctic, and other mutually beneficial corporate opportunities. c. Russia will be invited to rejoin the G8.

14. Frozen funds will be used as follows: $100 billion in frozen Russian assets will be invested in US-led efforts to rebuild and invest in Ukraine. The US will receive 50% of the profits from this venture. Europe will add $100 billion to increase the amount of investment available for Ukraine’s reconstruction. The remainder of the frozen Russian funds will be invested in a separate US-Russian investment vehicle that will implement joint projects in specific areas. This fund will be aimed at strengthening relations and increasing common interests to create a strong incentive not to return to conflict.

15. A joint American-Russian working group on security issues will be established to promote and ensure compliance with all provisions of this agreement.

16. Russia will enshrine in law its policy of non-aggression towards Europe and Ukraine.

17. The United States and Russia will agree to extend the validity of treaties on the non-proliferation and control of nuclear weapons, including the START I Treaty.

18. Ukraine agrees to be a non-nuclear state in accordance with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

19. The Zaporizhzhya [sic] Nuclear Power Plant will be launched under the supervision of the IAEA, and the electricity produced will be distributed equally between Russia and Ukraine — 50:50.

20. Both countries undertake to implement educational programmes in schools and society aimed at promoting understanding and tolerance of different cultures and eliminating racism and prejudice: a. Ukraine will adopt EU rules on religious tolerance and the protection of linguistic minorities. b. Both countries will agree to abolish all discriminatory measures and guarantee the rights of Ukrainian and Russian media and education. c. All Nazi ideology and activities must be rejected and prohibited.

21. Territories: a. Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk will be recognised as de facto Russian, including by the United States. b. Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be frozen along the line of contact, which will mean de facto recognition along the line of contact. c. Russia will relinquish other agreed territories it controls outside the five regions. d. Ukrainian forces will withdraw from the part of Donetsk Oblast that they currently control, and this withdrawal zone will be considered a neutral demilitarised buffer zone, internationally recognised as territory belonging to the Russian Federation. Russian forces will not enter this demilitarised zone.

22. After agreeing on future territorial arrangements, both the Russian Federation and Ukraine undertake not to change these arrangements by force. Any security guarantees will not apply in the event of a breach of this commitment.

23. Russia will not prevent Ukraine from using the Dnieper River for commercial activities, and agreements will be reached on the free transport of grain across the Black Sea.

24. A humanitarian committee will be established to resolve outstanding issues: a. All remaining prisoners and bodies will be exchanged on an ‘all for all’ basis. b. All civilian detainees and hostages will be returned, including children. c. A family reunification programme will be implemented. d. Measures will be taken to alleviate the suffering of the victims of the conflict.

25. Ukraine will hold elections in 100 days.

26. All parties involved in this conflict will receive full amnesty for their actions during the war and agree not to make any claims or consider any complaints in the future.

27. This agreement will be legally binding. Its implementation will be monitored and guaranteed by the Peace Council, headed by President Donald J. Trump. Sanctions will be imposed for violations.

28. Once all parties agree to this memorandum, the ceasefire will take effect immediately after both sides retreat to agreed points to begin implementation of the agreement.

Trump says China agreed to delay rare earth restrictions. China’s official statement says nothing of the sort. Three points were confirmed:
– U.S. suspends tariffs for one year.
– U.S. suspends export bans for one year.
– U.S. suspends 301 investigations for one year.
No mention of rare earths. No mention of TikTok. No Nvidia chips.
Once again, Trump negotiated with his own imagination, and declared victory over reality.
The fact of the matter is that the posturing with China is really all about obscuring the US’s economic demise, while also gaining leverage, sabotaging, and undercutting China as much as possible. This is because the US political class has no answers at all for its own failing economy, and thus must rely exclusively on the strategy of hamstringing its competitors. It’s all an act meant to forestall China’s takeover to buy time for the US corporo-political class to figure out a way to reset US’s runaway debt spiral and hyper-financialized Babylonian tower—which many now believe will happen by crypto-izing US debt:
