Satellite view is showing irrigated farming projects at Al Khufrah Oasis in southeast Libya. Part of the "Great Man Made River Project", where fossil water is mined from vast underground aquifers. This water is transported about 800 km (500 mi) to the coastal cities of Libya by means of the world's largest underground network of pipes.
