"The single most important picture in human history." The Hubble Ultra Deep Field, a picture taken by the Hubble Telescope of a "empty area" of space the size of a grain of sand held at arm's length. Every speck of light seen in this image is an entire galaxy or group of galaxies. This picture contains images of the farthest back in history we have ever seen, over 13 billion years.
