Francisco J. Ayala

Francisco José Ayala (born March 12, 1934 in Spain) is an American biologist at the University of California, Irvine. Ayala formerly served as the President and Chairman of the Board of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is a proponent of reconciling religion and evolution. In fact, he claims that evolution solves the problem of evil, while creationism fails to do so.
