Robert Allan Caro (born October 30, 1935) is an author from New York City known for his extensive work documenting the life of former Democrat president Lyndon B. Johnson. He previously worked in New Jersey as a journalist.
The Years of Lyndon Johnson
In his series on Johnson, Caro has so far published four books:[1]
- The Path to Power
- Means of Ascent
- Master of the Senate
- The Passage of Power
Following the release of the first book in 1982, former Republican president Richard Nixon commented in an interview:[2]
