Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario Bros. 3 is a Super Mario game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is an indirect sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2. The game was first released in Japan in 1988 and in North America in 1990.
Gameplay
This game has a map interface, where a player selects which level and which direction to go in to get to each castle and defeat one of the seven Koopalings (who were originally conceived as Bowser's children), restore the kings they had cursed as well as return their wands, and to defeat Bowser at the end of the game (who was revealed to have used his children as a diversion to abduct Peach). Each of the Koopalings, with the exception of Larry and to a lesser extent Morton Koopa Jr., were named after musicians, with their designs containing similarities to their namesakes (e.g., Roy Koopa wearing punk shades, Ludwig von Koopa having Beethoven's hairstyle). It also introduced several new powerup items and gameplay mechanics, including flying.
