- How do we know that Ian Ayres & John J. Donohue III (reference 3) are liberals?
- And how is that relevant? Their paper appears (from a glance only) to be careful research (i.e. it's not an opinion piece or etc.). If their research has a liberal ideology as a basis (not a motive), then that's necessary to mention, but their personal views should not matter if it hasn't biased their research.
- The page linked by reference 2 to John Lott's blog doesn't have the referenced claim about underreporting. What is the correct link?
- What does the last paragraph (about Michael Bellesiles) have to do with this article about John Lott?
