Talk:Rugby

Rugby should not be a list of pages. In American English, it refers to the sport. And, yes, I know that rugby has split into two "utterly different" sports, but there as similar as two species of jungle cat as far as we on this side of the pond are concerned.

I propose that Rugby explain the sport, and be the {main} article for spin-offs such as rubgy (league) and the, er, other kind. I know it matters a lot to our dear friends overseas, but frankly we Yanks haven't a clue. If you'd like us to get a clue, we will "hear" you a lot better if you stick with our terminology and formats.

I know that "football" can mean soccer, but it's going to take a long uphill struggle to teach me about the various forms of rugby. --Ed Poor Talk 17:15, 16 July 2008 (EDT)

Minor detail but it's a pet peeve---you spelled "they're" wrong. --Jareddr 17:16, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
You got me their, buddy. I used the wrong pronoun to talk about they're similarities. --Ed Poor Talk 17:26, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
Making my fingers twitch at the keyboard! "Must...edit...typo!" --Jareddr 17:32, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
