Note on the Apocrypha
I responded to you on both my talk page and NishantXavier's. The Apostle Paul said, "One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. (Titus 1:12–14)

- The Old Testament Apocrypha are Jewish books from mostly, if not entirely the intertestamental period. Since they are Jewish writings that some claim belong in Scripture but really don't, they are hence Jewish fables.
