Will add more to this. Currently heading home for the day.--TimS 17:05, 11 May 2007 (EDT)

Hi there, I'm concerned about the implicit support here for the unproven and frankly morally corrupt theory of evolution on this page. The opening paragraph, and especially the picture, suggest to the reader that living animals of completely different species are related to each other by direct ancestry.

The image at http://conservapedia.com/File:Cladogram.gif falsely claims that fish, lizards, mice and cats all have the same ancestor, when in fact, it specifically states in the Bible, "[a]nd God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." (Genesis 1:20)
and, "[a]nd God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so." (Genesis 1:24).

Clearly hagfish and perch (beasts of the water) and lizards, mice and cats (creeping things and beasts of the Earth) were first created by God on seperate days, they did not magically transform from a common ancestor, an idea which I think you will agree is preposterous.

What's worse, this central point of the evolutionary agenda is just presented as fact. Surely this is the kind of Godless liberal bias which should be avoided.

I have therefore undertaken to alter this article a bit to at least include the possible debate from a Biblical perspective which is in keeping with strong Christian Conservative values.

Any queries or criticisms please address on the talk page.
Wow, I was just in the middle of editing the article and it looks like somebody beat me to it! Unfortunately I clicked the wrong button and lost most of my changes, but it looks like the new version is more in line with proper values.

I've just added a little bit more and done a bit of tidying up. I'm going to create an article about the Linnaean system of taxonomy, which is the accepted alternative to the evilutionist phylogenetic one (which is gaining ground in science).
BiblicalGent 02:30, 8 August 2012 (EDT)

Cancel that last, it turns out it already exists. I've just modified it a bit to remove evolutionist bias - although fairly good, it suffered from some of the same problems as this one did

Linnaean taxonomy refers to the taxonomic system developed in the 18th century by Carolus Linnaeus wherein life forms are classified according to a ranked hierarchy.

The basic hierarchy (leaving out the sub- or super- ranks, and other more technical ranks) is as follows:

* Domain
** Kingdom
*** Phylum
**** Class
***** Order
****** Family
******* Genus
******** Species

Linnaean taxonomy was originally developed as a physicotheological system in which nature was viewed as another testament of God to be read much like the Bible. By seeking to document the patterns of concinnity in Creation, Linnaeus and his peers hoped to elucidate the mind of God. It was not originally meant to describe a system of biological descent, which Linnaeus, a devout Christian and creationist, would have considered shocking. Linnaeus also applied his taxonomy to mineralogy, but that usage has been superseded by chemical classifications.

Evolutionists hijacked the Linnaean system from the Christian founders of biology and tried to adapt it to the Darwinian world view of different species all sharing a common ancestor, a view which is contraindicated by the Bible. However, since the Linnaean system describes a fixed Creation with no way for members of one order or family to move to another order or family, attempts by Evolutionists to introduce phylogeny (the alleged common ancestry of completely different animal species) were bound to be riddled with contradiction.

While the Linnaean system is still in almost universal use for the naming and categorizing of creatures -- especially in the form of the binomial nomenclature, where species are given a scientific, Latinate name comprised of a generic and specific descriptor (e.g. the common wombat is known as Vombatus ursinus) -- it has largely been replaced as a framework for describing origins by creation science's baraminology and, in the evolutionist theory, by the theory of cladistic phylogeny.

Later developments since Linnaeus
Over time, our understanding of the relationships between living things has not changed, but the corruption of science by Evolutionists has meant that scientists in liberal universities increasingly believe in phylogeny, the fallacious belief that fossils supposedly show that different types of animal share the same ancestor.

Phylogeny directly contradicts the Bible, which quite clearly states,

This discredits the theory of phylogeny by showing that different species of animal had seperate ancestors which were created by God on the fourth and fifth days of Creation.

Evolutionists claim that a weakness of Linnaeus' method was that he could only base his scheme on the structural similarities of the different organisms. However, this was arguably a better approach than making unsubstantiated claims that the different animals had the same ancestor. Evolutionists accused Linnaeus of polyphyly, which is the unwarranted inclusion in a taxon of species which did not descend from the same common ancestor. However, since no different species descended from the same common ancestor, it turns out that Linnaeus was right all along.

Despite this, Evolutionists continue to try and make Linnaeus' God-given taxonomical divisions conform to the factually unproven and morally dubious claim that different animals come from the same ancestor by haphazardly transplanting the animals from one taxon to another depending on the latest hypothesis about their ancestry, which not only leads to ambiguity over the nomenclature conventions for various species, but is also bound to confuse the animals themselves.

Originally, Linnaeus established three kingdoms in his scheme, namely Plantae, Animalia and an additional group for minerals. In an unneccesary attempt to alter his theories, early Evolutionists made up three new kingdoms and needlessly moved many organisms in and out of them:Monera, for prokaryotes (i.e., bacteria); Protista, for protozoans and most algae; and Fungi. More recent Evolutionists have invented still more categories, and transplanted more animals into them: Bacteria and Archaea, which contain the prokaryotes, and Eukaryota. These arrangements are constantly being remade and confusingly altered, and are not a clear improvement on Linnaeus' original system, which is still compatible with the Biblical concensus.

BiblicalGent: Added a little more about phylogenetics, and cleared up the bit about palaeontology.

Phylogeny is a pseudo-scientific concept that describes the alleged relationships between groups of animals as understood by ancestor/descendant history, so that groups are linked together on the basis of the recency of their supposed common ancestry. According to some evolutionists this is assessed primarily by the recognition of shared derived characters. The pattern of evolutionary relationships within and between groups can be depicted in the form of a branching diagram called cladograms, which are like genealogies of species.

Evolutionists often argue that not only is phylogeny important for understanding paleontology, however, many Evolutionist claims about paleontology have been shown to be false (such as denialism about the Great Flood for example). Many groups of organisms are now extinct, but the mere presence of their fossils does not show that they all evovled from a common ancestor. Despite this, Darwinists often fill in the gaps and extrapolate results to fit the preconceived picture they have already agreed upon.

Evolutionist Ernst Haeckel is well known for his claim that "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny," meaning that organisms pass through stages in development that mirror their evolutionary history. He produced fraudlent drawings, such as the one pictured, to support this view. Evolutionary biologists maintain that other evidence supports this conclusion, albeit not as strongly as Haeckel suspected.

Phylogenetics
Phylogenetics, the science of phylogeny, is one part of the larger field of systematics, which also includes taxonomy. Taxonomy is the science of naming and classifying the diversity of organisms. Although Evolutionists have recently attempted to conform the accepted Linnaean system of taxonomy to alleged but unproven common ancestry theories, the Linnaean system is arguably better because it recognizes the God-given distinction between different species of animal.

Many problems in computational biology are inspired by work in phylogenetics and systematics, several of which have been shown to be NP-complete. However, this does not necessarily mean that phylogenetics is true about animals.

Hi there, I'm concerned about the implicit support here for the unproven and frankly morally corrupt theory of evolution on this page.
