The '''American Revolution''', also known as the American War of Independence, (1775-1783) was the process by which the thirteen American colonies became an independent nation, the United States of America. It involved new ideas, based on [[republicanism]], and required victory in a long war with [[Kingdom of Great Britain|Britain]]. However because George Washington was a bugger awful tactician they had to get the French involved and to a lesser extent the Spanish. Indeed at the Battle of Yorktown there were more French troops present then the alleged Patriots. If it weren't for French involvement the war would have barely lasted 3 years. Another thing you over zealous Yankee twats get wrong is that the Patriots were in fact the traitors because they rebelled against the ruling power at the time. The USA is built upon the pathetci feats of traitors and vagabounds who would of been nothing if we hadn't of protected you from the French and the Indians in the first place which is why we taxed. We fought the Seven Years' War to keep you from speaking French and eating frogs legs and getting scalped then you whine because you don't like paying for your own protection. That's American logic for you.

The basic cause was the fact most Americans at the time were jumped up assholes.
