Mario is one of the most recognizable video game characters in the world, serving as the mascot of the video game company Nintendo. Mario is a plumber who usually goes on adventures saving Princess Peach. He has a brother named Luigi. Mario was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, and was originally a carpenter called Jumpman. Mario has appeared in over 100 games since 1981's Donkey Kong. Mario is an extremely recognizable character, and at one point was more recognizable than Mickey Mouse.

Mario is known for his famous red cap, blue overalls, and white gloves. He has a mustache and a rather large nose. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Super Mario and numerous other Nintendo games, designed Mario that way in order to create a recognizable character for the 1981 arcade game, Donkey Kong.
In most games he can jump particularly high, can grow to become Super Mario by eating (touching) mushrooms, obtain the ability to throw fireballs by grabbing flowers or become temporarily invincible by grabbing stars. In various games, including Super Mario Bros. 3, he can also fly by obtaining special items that vary from game to game.

History
Mario was created by Shigeru Miyamoto as one of his attempts to create a best-selling video game for Nintendo. Mario began as "Jumpman" in the video game Donkey Kong in 1981. He then appeared in Donkey Kong Jr. ,as the villain and Mario Bros. in 1983, which began Mario and Luigi's portrayal as Italian-American plumbers. Since then, Mario has then appeared in many other games for Nintendo consoles and handhelds. The first Mario console game was Mario Bros for the Atari and other consoles, followed by Super Mario Bros. for the NES.
Games
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong is an arcade game released by Nintendo that the protagonist, Mario, known at the time of release as Jumpman, must save Princess Pauline from the primate antagonist Donkey Kong. The game repeats four stages that after the final stage is completed, the four stages repeat and get more challenging each time they are played and more points are earned.

Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. (ESRB ratings: E) is one of the most well known video games in the industry. It is a platform game created by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System, first released in 1985. It features the intrepid Mario in his adventures through Mushroom Kingdom to save Princess Peach from Bowser's hands. It is the game that has sold the most copies worldwide and numerous ports, sequels and other merchandise has been made out of it.

It lacks any kind of realistic violence and can be enjoyed safely by the whole family.

The player controls Mario (or possibly Luigi in two-player mode) and must reach the goal in each side-scrolling level which is populated by numerous obstacles such as enemies, pitfalls and other hazzards. The player may obtain a red mushroom (increasing Mario's side and allowing him to be hit twice before losing a life), a fire flower (allowing Mario to throw bouncing fire balls to eliminate some enemies), a bouncing starcalled Starman (making Mario invisible and eliminating enemies he comes in contact with), a green mushroom (giving Mario an extra life) or coins (collecting 100 of these will grant Mario an extra life). Most enemies are defeated by jumping on them directly and by throwing fire balls or shells (obtained by jumping on Koopa Troopas, turtle-like enemies and Buzzy Beetles, a beetle-like equivalent) at them or The player travels through eight worlds, each consisting of four levels, the last one being a castle where an impersonation of Bowser dwells and must be defeated by reaching an axe and destroying the bridge he is standing on or by throwing enough fire balls at him, when he does, the player encounters a humanoid mushroom who tells him that the princess is in another castle (with the exception being the last one, where he finds the princess). The player may encounter warp pipes that allow him to skip levels or even whole worlds.

Super Mario Bros. was the first original Mario game for the NES (previous Mario games on the NES such as Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. were ports of pre-existing arcade games), and was bundled in with the NES in a cart with Duck Hunt. The game spawned numerous sequels including Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World, which are regarded by many as two of the greatest games of all time. The game is generally regarded as the most innovative video game of all time.
Tyrannosaurus (Greek: τυραννος σαυρος, "tyrant lizard") was a species of dinosaur known from several specimens found in North America and Asia. One of the largest carnivorous animals to have walked the earth, Tyrannosaurus has, since its late-19th century discovery, become the most famous as well, the subject of serious science as well as a perennial character in books, film, and television.

Description
Tyrannosaurus was a large theropod, with recovered specimens averaging between 36-40 feet in length and standing about 12 feet at the hips . The weight of an adult has been estimated to be between 5-7 tons, roughly comparable to a living African elephant.

The skull was massively-built and robust. The sixty teeth which lined the mouth were up to 7-inches long and banana-shaped, with cutting serrations on each edge. Tyrannosaurus also had forward-facing eyes, giving it binocular vision. The other noticeable feature was the small forearms bearing only two clawed fingers, which many scientists have declared useless or vestigial. But the shoulder blades were relatively-large, indicating the arms were still well-muscled, and it has been postulated that these arms aided Tyrannosaurus in lifting itself up on its hind feet from a prone position.

Species
Three species have been identified as belonging in the genus Tyrannosaurus:
*Tyrannosaurus lanpingensis
:First identified in 1975, from Jingxing Formation of Yunnan, China.
*Tyrannosaurus rex
:Type species; originally found (as fragments) in 1874 near Golden, Colorado, with more complete finds beginning in 1892.
*Tyrannosaurus torosus
:Discovered in 1921 in Alberta, Canada by Charles Sternberg, it was originally named Daspletosaurus. G. S. Paul in 1988 added this animal to the Tyrannosaurus genus.

Diet
Some scientists, notably Dr. Jack Horner of the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana, have put forward the hypothesis that Tyrannosaurus was exclusively a scavenger. They cite as their evidence the relatively-slow estimated speed of the animal - no more than 15 miles per hour - as well as the small forelimbs and the large olfactory casts made inside their skulls, which indicated a powerful sense of smell. This may be partially true, since most carnivores today will happily scavenge available meat. However, it probably was not an exclusive scavenger, as most meat-eaters must also hunt in order to survive. Tyrannosaurus jaws were also quite adaptive to grabbing live prey. In opposition to the scavenger theory there are several specimens of dinosaur - principally Edmontosaurus and Triceratops - in North American museums which show clear bite wounds that have healed over, and tyrannosaur teeth easily fit inside them.

Bite strength
Recent estimates based on computer models, scale models of skulls, and comparisons with living animals suggest Tyrannosaurus had one of the most powerful bites of any animal. Experiments conducted by Dr. Gregory Erickson when he was a graduate student at the University of California (Berkeley) determined that a minimum of 1,440 pounds of pressure from its front teeth alone could put a 11.5 mm-deep hole in bone, while 3,011 pounds of pressure came from its back teeth. The strength of the bite may have been as much as four tons or more, according to Dr. Eric Snively of the University of Alberta, who discovered the significance of fused nasal bones unique to Tyrannosaurus. "Fused, arch-like nasal bones are a unique feature of tyrannosaurids," he said. "This adaptation, for instance, was keeping the T. rexes from breaking their own skull while breaking the bones of their prey." A fused nasal bone channels the force of the bite from the skull to the prey item; this, with the combination of extremely-powerful neck muscles, convinced Dr. Snively and his colleagues that an adult Tyrannosaurus could potentially use 200,000 newtons of force when pulling meat off a carcass.

In 1995 a coprolite (fossilized dung) was discovered near Eastend, Saskatchewan, and determined to have been from a tyrannosaur based on the size as well as the bone fragments within from a Triceatops, leading scientists to speculate that the power of a T-rex bite could shatter bone.

Fossils
The earliest find of a Tyrannosaurus fossil occurred in 1892. In 1905, after additional discoveries of fossils, the president of the American Museum for Natural History named the dinosaur. Since then, more than 30 specimens have been found.

In 1990, amateur paleontologist Susan Hendrickson discovered the most complete Tyrannosaurus fossil yet. The fossil, named "Sue", is also one of the largest tyrannosaur specimens discovered.

Paleontologist Mary Schweitzer has discovered unfossilized soft tissue in a tyrannosaur skeleton. This was unexpected as tissue was not known to stay unfossilized for 65 million years. Evolutionists saw this as evidence that tissue can last that long, while creationists saw it as evidence that the fossils were not that old.
Velociraptor ("fast hunter") is the name for a small, fast-running, carnivorous dinosaur.
Velociraptor was small for a dromaeosaurid, with adults measuring up to 1.8 meters (5.9 ft) long, 0.62 meters (2 ft) high at the hip, and weighing 20 kilograms (45 lb)
The velociraptor is now extinct.

According to young-Earth creationists, the velociraptor was created on the sixth creation day (approximately 6000 B.C.) and became extinct sometime in the last 4,350 years since the Flood.

Evolutionists believe that the velociraptor existed between 99 and 65 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous.
The first Velociraptor fossil was found in Mongolia in the 1920s by an American Museum of Natural History expedition, and a number of fossils have been found since then in Mongolia and northern China. Velociraptor ("fast hunter") is the name for a small, fast-running, carnivorous dinosaur.
Velociraptor was small for a dromaeosaurid, with adults measuring up to 1.8 meters (5.9 ft) long, 0.62 meters (2 ft) high at the hip, and weighing 20 kilograms (45 lb) and became extinct sometime in the last 4,350 years since the Flood.

Evolutionists believe that the velociraptor existed between 99 and 65 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous.

EarthBound Beginnings, or Mother, as it’s known in Japan is a role-playing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Created by copywriter Shigesato Itoi, it is the first entry of the Mother series, followed by EarthBound (Mother 2) for the Super NES and Mother 3 for the Game Boy Advance. EarthBound Beginnings, much like its sequels, is known for deviating from the traditional sword and sorcery motif typical of the role-playing genre, by taking place in a modern American setting.

Plot Synopsis
In the early 1900s in Rural America, a man named George and his wife Maria mysteriously vanish, only to have George turn up again a year later. George tells no one where he was or what he was doing during that time and immerses himself in the study of PSI, or psionics. Some 80 years later, George's great-grandson, Ninten, gets caught up in strange happenings, starting with a poltergeist attacking his house. After Ninten stops the attack, he calls his father, who sends Ninten on an adventure to investigate the cause of the strange event.

With his great-grandfather's diary in hand, Ninten discovers a magical realm called Magicant and is asked by Queen Mary, the ruler of Magicant, to find the eight fragments of her melody so that she can sing it again. Along the journey, Ninten travels back and forth from Rural America and Magicant, battling zombies, aliens, and other unusual foes including hippies and floating eyeballs. In his search for the eight melodies, Ninten is joined by Ana, a psychic girl, Lloyd, a boy genius, and Teddy, a gang leader with a heart of gold.

Gameplay
EarthBound Beginnings much like most role-playing games (RPGs), has the player control the characters in an overworld where one can walk, run, check objects, talk to non-player characters and so on. In certain areas of the overworld, the player can get drawn into battles at random.

During battles, The enemy character(s) appear on screen and the player is given a menu of different commands. These commands include Fight, which deals damage to a foe of the player's choosing ND PSI, which allows the player to pick a psychic ability to use. PSI powers include PK Beam, a damge dealing move, 4th-D Slip, which guarantees the player a 100% chance to successfully run away from battle, and LifeUp, which recovers HP.

HP stands for Hit Points and determines the characters' health. If the HP counter reaches zero, the character in question falls unconscious and cannot take any action until he or she is revived, either at a hospital or by means of PSI. Using PSI consumes Psychic Points, or PP. Once the PP counter reaches zero, no PSI can be used until PP is recovered by staying at a hotel or by other means.

For winning battles, the player is awarded Experience Points (EXP) and a varying amount of money, which must be withdrawn from an ATM before it can be spent. When a character gains enough EXP, he or she will level-up, which means stats will increase. Such stats include Fight, which determines attack power, Defense, which determines how much damage enemies can deal to the character, and maximum HP and PP, which increase by varying amounts per level-up.

Player characters can also equip certain items to boost their stats such as boomerangs, ray guns, and baseball bats to increase Fight and coins and pendants to increase Defense.

Characters
Ninten - A twelve-year-old boy living in Podunk with his mother and two younger sisters. Ninten is a strong attacker and in the course of the game, learns a variety of PSI powers for defense and healing. His favorite food is prime rib and he also likes to play baseball.

Ana - A girl who lives in the wintery town of Snowman with psychic powers. Unlike Ninten, she can learn offensive PSI powers such as PK Fire and PK Beam. She joins Ninten on his quest in search of her mother, who mysteriously vanished.

Lloyd - A timid boy with a genius IQ who get picked on in school. Lloyd joins Ninten to see Duncan's factory, which is constructing a large rocket. While Lloyd cannot use PSI, he makes up for it by being the only character who can use certain tools in battle, like bottle rockets and even a flamethrower. He is also good with machines.

Teddy - The leader of the Bla-Bla Gang (Black Blood in the original Japanese). Despite his appearance, Teddy is not as bad as he seems and joins Ninten to avenge his parents, who were killed by "mountain creatures." Teddy also possesses no PSI, but he's very strong and is the only character who can equip swords.

Ninten's father - Though he is always away from home, Ninten's father is always a phone call away. He deposits money into Ninten's bank account and can also save your progress.

Pippi - A little girl who gets captured by Zombies. Ninten rescues her early in the game and she temporarily joins him. Pippi can help fight in battle and can even level up. In addition, she gives Ninten the Franklin Badge, an important item required to progress through the game.

Queen Mary - The beloved ruler of Magicant, Queen Mary is known by her subjects for her beautiful singing. However, she forgot how her song goes, but knows that it was divided into eight parts and is scattered in various locations for Ninten to find.

Flying Men - Five brothers who resemble birds and can aid Ninten in battles in Magicant. They represent Ninten's courage.

Release
It was slated for a release in North America under the title Earth Bound (note the space) in 1991, but despite being fully translated into English, the release was cancelled.

Lloyd - A timid boy with a genius IQ who get picked on in school. Lloyd joins Ninten to see Duncan's factory, which is constructing a large rocket.

Plot
The story begins when a meteor falls in Onett, a small American town. Ness, the main character, heads outside with his dog to investigate. At the crash site, he learns from Buzz Buzz, a bee-like creature from the future, that he must collect eight melodies to defeat Giygas, an evil overlord who wages war against the earth.

The game then follows Ness and his friends as he travels from location to location, battling mushrooms, taxis, UFOs, and hippies. He rescues Paula, a magically-adept girl held captive by a cult outside Tucson, and meets up with Jeff, a boy from an English boarding school. The group's fourth member is Poo, prince of the Asian country of Dalaam.

The game's principle antagonists are the Starmen, Giygas' warriors, also sent back from the future, who make continual mischief by stealing important items, including Poo's Sword of Kings, the Suporma (a device created by the child genius Orange Kid), and the Shyness Book from the Onett library (needed to communicate with the Tenda village). Allied with the Starmen is Pokey Minch, Ness' overweight neighbor, who goes from playing tricks on Ness to becoming Giygas' right-hand man.
