Three edits are needed in order to improve this article. First off, the article indicates that "The killers were anti-religion, anti-establishment, antisocial, and anti-sports." While some or all of this statement may or may not be true, the cited article(s) don't indicate that any part of the statement is true, and in the sidebar even shows that neither was as outcast from their peers as much as portrayed in most renditions of the events. It goes to say that "They were not captains of the football team, but they were far more accepted than many of their schoolmates. They hung out with a tight circle of close friends and partied regularly on the weekend with a wider crowd." I think that this should either be removed or a source that properly and verifiably indicates the statement in question is correct.

Also, a large part of their plot was not only that they would gun down students, but also set off a series pipe bombs in and around the school, despite the failure of all the bombs to detonate.It is imperative that this segment is also added to the story, as it is a major part of the events of the columbine massacre. A long-standing urban legend is that the boys had created a simulation of their school to use with the cult classic "Doom" and used this to train for their rampage. It *is* true that the boys were indeed huge fans of the game, and they *did* claim their rampage was going to be "just like Doom", but there is *no* evidence, nowhere, that they had actually created levels based on Columbine.

Levels created by one of the shooters DO exist, but these resemble nothing like a high school, being little more than straightforward all-out deathmatch arenas: hardly training for a high school rampage, let alone a "murder simulator", the current trend word for FPS games.
