What about economic positions? laissez faire capitalism, pro private sector, anti public sector unless service is vital, ie military, curbs on union power, low Taxation, minimal government spending. Would you be offended if I add these?--Patmac 20:06, 23 May 2013 (EDT)
:I wonder about some of those listed as well. I can't imagine for example that a modern conservative would be in favour of paid parental leave and access to free or cheap healthcare for babies and infants, yet without support for those things I would say one could not claim to be pro-life or pro-parental rights. --DamianJohn 20:20, 23 May 2013 (EDT)
::Economic issues follow the social ones, like a tail on a dog.--Andy Schlafly
:::Perhaps you could elaborate on that. For example, how does the social position of being pro-life lead onto the economic positions of making it very difficult for a poor, young mother to afford to raise her child by eliminating government assistance for poverty stricken mothers, and giving the money saved back to the wealthy in the form of tax relief? Surely the positions are at odds with one another - one encourages abortions whilst the other is against it? --DamianJohn 22:23, 23 May 2013 (EDT)
::::If this is an expression of personal opinion, it should be an "essay." If this is intended to be a description of a widely-held position, each element should be backed by references indicating that independent sources support the inclusion of each of the listed elements.
