well from a political point of view i would say im moderate. I agree with both the GOP and the Dems on different issues.
I really like the idea of online encyclopedias. I've been on wikipedia for years and found out about this site awhile ago i decided i could help. I cant say say i agree 100% with the allegations that wikipedia has an anti-American bias. but i do think there should be a place for people with conservative viewpoints to state them (conversely if there were a "libepedia" i would probably edit there as well. Im very pro knowledge and I absolutely hate censorship. Knowledge should be free.

while i may be a moderate i will do my best to stick the sites pro-American pro-Christianity lens. however i try to stay away from the really controversial topics (i find im not nearly angry enough to debate with those people). my first introduction to this site was pretty negative, i read a story on it that made fun of conservapedia for "factual innacuracies" and "political slander" i must admit that these charges are not entirely baseless. however im not against a site that uses the bible as an authoritative source because the site comes right out and says thats its angle. I think there is certainly a place for that viewpoint.

but as i said earlier i plan to work on mostly non-controversial articles

Abortion: i think its morally wrong, from my point of view it doesn't matter when the fetus becomes an organism or has its own life functions. I know that that, left alone, that zygote will become a human being. That being said just because i think that way doesn't mean other have to think the same. I think that each couple (both parents) have to make that judgment for themselves. I say this because im sick of self righteous politicians trying to shove their moral beliefs down the countries throat. Im a Christian but i don't expect everyone to believe what i do.

Illegal immigration: obviously the first step is to stop the tide of immigrants, by some kind of barrier, be it physical or otherwise. the second step is what to do with the people already here. I think people like Mitt Romney saying that we should round up the 12 million illegals and send them back to Mexico is woefully unrealistic. our resources are better spent elsewhere. even if that would be the just thing to do. Im in favor of the "learn English and pay a fine" approach. yeah it might not be fair since they broke the law but its the most realistic option in my opinion.

The Iraq war: Im against it. I thought it was none of out business. Saddam was not going to use WMDs against us. because he liked... whats the word? BEING ALIVE! in fact it was expedient to us to keep him in power. he was a bigger thorn in Iran's side than he was in ours. It was a distraction from the real targets in Afghanistan and has killed hundreds of thousands of people.

Gun control: I think background checks are a good idea, as are waiting periods. I think hunting is a perfectly fine activity, and every American (except criminals) should have the right to a gun. however... i think assault weapons in the hands of civilians are a bad idea, if your that bad of a shot that you need an automatic weapon; you need to pick a new hobby.

My good lord, this is perhaps the greatest whitewashing of historical fact I have ever seen. Where is the information about the power crazed Pope? What about the slaughter of entire towns and the sacking of Constantinople? This page's analysis is a joke and thus, it has been deleted. :: xenuites dramatic flare aside. what he saying is true. this article doesn't mention any of the atrocities of the crusades. when the crusaders took Jerusalem they slaughtered the whole city, Muslim, Christian, and Jew alike. the crusaders were not noble in the slightest. a good way to think of crusaders would be to compare them to modern day Jihadis. crazed fighters unafraid to kill innocents because they believe there on a mission from god to "kill the infidel". anyone who identifies with a crusader is either ignorant of a fool. these were not good people! Sadly the "political slander" charge seems to be well deserved a quick look at any democratic or liberal politician will find many statements like "He has no clear personal achievement that cannot be explained as the likely result of affirmative action". frankly stuff like this disgusts me but rather than pass this site off as a lost cause i will do what i can to bring this site back to a respectable level.

One must make the distinction between social democracy and pure socialism. Countries like Sweden are social democracies, employing elements of socialism but not all of them. It's a contradiction to call the Soviet Union a 'communist state' since communism can only exist worldwide. Calling the Soviet Union 'communist' goes strictly against the way the word 'communism' is defined. Just because a country is ruled by a Communist Party does not make the country communist.
