Christians believe that God (variously named ''Elohim'', ''Yahweh'' - originally simply Israel's tribal god - and, in variant form, ''Jehovah'') is the creator of the universe, and have asserted since about the fourth century that He is a trinity comprised of the [[Father]], the [[Jesus Christ|Son]], and the [[Holy Spirit]]. His [[creation]] of man is described in the [[Book of Genesis]] in the [[Bible]]. Common powers attributed to God include [[omnipotence]] (the ability to do anything), [[omniscience]] (the ability to know anything), and [[omnipresence]] (the ability to be everywhere at once) although even that level of detail is not common throughout all monotheists{{Fact|date=March2007}}. However, as omnipotence is attributed to God, he is therefore inherently responsible for every evil ever to occur. Many believers in God also believe that he eternally punishes the wicked in [[hell]] and eternally rewards the righteous in [[heaven]] and variants of this theme are found in all the Abrahamic faiths. The belief in a kind and loving God in conjunction with the belief of damnation is extremely ironic. While He is said to be unique, the Old Testament in fact mentions 'other gods' constantly.

A demon is an immortal creature which lives in one of the [[Nine Hells]] or the [[Abyss]] and is an enemy of [[God]].

Demons are not to be confused with [[fallen angels]] or the [[Devil]], which are similar creatures but not wholly the same. A [[Succubus]] is an example of one kind of demon.

Demons are often connotated as belonging to hell, where there is lack of credible referenceds barring Dante's "THe Inferno". In Revalations, hell is said to be occupied separatly by only fallen angels.

Demons are present often throughout the New Testament, often as common as leprosy. THis essentially means that either we have a bunch of demons stilll running around possesing people or this is crap. All this exorcising demons was really popular back in the day, but now since we have doctors, what has happened to the classical demon exorcist? This is obviously the result of godless communists trying to destroy America.
