Lamech the Murderer
I don't like the reference to "Lamech the murderer". It is accurate, and there needs to be some distinction between the two Lamech's but I've never heard him referred to as "Lamech the murderer". Whatever we do, it should be simply "Lamech" in the list on this page, but the link being to something else ("Lamech, son of Methusael"?). Philip J. Rayment 07:23, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
:It is only accurate insofar as he admits to having killed (הרג - put to death) in Gen 4:23, and even there he qualifies it by saying that the first man he killed had wounded (פּצע) him and drew blood first, and the second had wounded him without drawing blood (חבּוּרה). The context is one of נקם - avenge/punish - so it is more correct to call him "Lamech the Avenger". His treatment as a "murderer" is really only in the non-Scriptural Book of Moses from the Latter Day Saints canon. Perhaps the links should be altered to Lamech, son of Methuselah and Lamech, son of Methusael? ::I was going to disagree, and say that there is no need to have the other Lamech as anything other than simply "Lamech", but I guess that Lamech should be a disambiguation between the two, in which case both could be "son of", as you suggest. Philip J. Rayment 08:21, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
:::That sounds like a good solution. Fox (talk|contribs) 08:39, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
Adam's Life Span
no sane person can believe that anyone lived for 930 years. I thought this site was for "factual information" only.

Belly Button
In the painting where god and adam touch fingers (the one where they're sitting on clouds) why does Adam have a belly button? I mean wasn't he made by God? If so then there would be no need for a belly button and thus this painting pretty much destroys your religion.
