The Journal of the Family Research Institute using data from the U.S. Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Statistics and the Center for Disease Control concluded that "married men who are not separated are at least 25 times less apt to be domestically attacked than a homosexual male in an 'on-going relationship.' Even if we include all married and separated husbands, the risk of domestic violence in a male-male homosexual relationship is still at least 18 times greater."

A [[study that compared domestic violence gay couples and heterosexual]] is even more pronounced in respect to the above statistics that suggest that heterosexual couples are more violent than homosexual couples. It is also reported that the large amount of "white trash" and in family marriages has resulted in this stat being extremely polluted. Dr. Swanson states that "if we were able to legitimately edit the data, and not include alcoholics, drug addicts, extreme conservatives, and most of the people from the southern states in our poll, the data would be significantly different" He also stated that "thes4e people (the conservatives, and other forms of ignorant white trash) are actually much more likely to preform acts of domestic violence, and violence in relationships in general". It would seem their pig headed nature leads to them turning to violence to resolve their differences, rather than simply talking problems out.
