Liberal Failures
Rush Limbaugh had a section in the December 2007 Limbaugh Letter called "Liberal Failures". At rushlimbaugh.com, Rush says he got the idea for his article from an article by Jeffrey Lord: A History of Liberal Disasters - American Spectator.

Rush lists several examples of liberal failures under each of these categories:

*Economy/Taxation
*Health Care
*Law/Criminal Justice
*Environment
*Education
*Immigration
*Culture
*National Security

Rush says "Liberalism doesn't work. It fails, every time it's tried."
<br> <br>
Jeffrey Lord lists examples of these liberal disasters:

* Forced School Busing
* Welfare
* Luxury Tax
* Alternative Minimum Tax
* Bringing Peace to Vietnam and Cambodia
* Free Love
* Drugs

"TOO SUM UP: Whether it was education policy, welfare policy, economic policy, foreign policy or social policy, time after time after time what became the guiding lights of modern American liberalism proved to be utter disasters.

I would like to see Westboro Baptist Church removed from the list of liberal associations. The only thing evidence I can see for them being liberal is Fred Phelps's run for office as a Democrat. In my opinion, this is the same sort of guilt by association, that we accuse Wikipedia of on the Biases of Wikipedia page. To put it another way, having Westboro Baptist Church in the Liberal section, would be like a liberal site having KKK as a conservative organization simply because David Duke was active in the KKK and ran for office as a Republican.--PhineasBogg 20:03, 29 December 2007 (EST)
By the way, does the stance of Aschlafly et al against this mean that they would be willing to voluntarily support the education of children not their own whose parents couldn't afford to?Alloco1 00:38, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
The formatting is abysmal, the content laughable. I thought Conservapedia was a serious movement to write articles from a right-wing intelligent viewpoint... but i see it's dominated with weak, stolen political jokes. JOKES in an apparently "informative" article. If this is just an oversight, i retract everything.

* Forced School Busing
* Welfare
* Luxury Tax
* Alternative Minimum Tax
* Bringing Peace to Vietnam and Cambodia
* Free Love
* Drugs

Dave Mustaine is the lead singer and guitarrist of Heavy Metal band Megadeth. He was born in La Mesa, California in 1961, he was one of the founding members of Metallica, but was then ejected because of his addiction to heroin.

His lyrics are characterized by an aggressive temper, especially toward authorities (he even made a cover of Anarchy in the U.K. by Sex Pistols).

After he was found driving under the influence and after a recent accident for which he had risked to lose his ability to play guitar, Mustaine decided in 2002 to convert to Christianity and has since been an advocate of family values. However, he is continuing to criticize authorities such as the United States government and the United Nations.

He expresses clearly his ideas toward the United Nations in the song United Abominations of his last album:

<div bgcolor="#ff0000">
:Within striking distance from Ground Zero sits a smoldering international cauldron, the United "Abominations" as it were. Born to prevent wars, it froze in the face of disaster and stood silent while terrorization to hostage of the world

:In a mire of hypocrisy, the U.N. ignores sex crimes by its "blue helmets", and enables terrorism; so in the end it's failed and the U.N. is where our so-called friends get to stab us in the back and we pay 22% of their tab to host our enemies here at home.

:Ambassadors from countries enjoy otherwise known as a catastrophe, enjoy Diplomatic immunity living in Manhattan, while their children are turned into prostitutes It's a complete and utter disgrace, a blot on the face of humanity, and they get away with it.
</div>

He is also very critical of Iraq war and U.S. intervention abroad, e.g. in the same song as above:
:I fear to undo the failings in Iraq, Iran, and Korea
:You may bury the bodies

:But you can't bury the crimes only
:Fools stand up and really lay down their arms

His recently acquired political ideas have been compared to the positions of a conservative American organization

Kosovo is a region in the south of Serbia. The area has been under United Nations administration since 1999 because of conflict stemming from the desire for independence. Kosovo's population is mostly ethnic-Albanian, a stark contrast to the rest of the population of Serbia.

Kosovo was once an almost totally Serbian land. Under the long Ottoman rule, the land became more and more inhabited by Albanians migrants. The Turkish dominators favored the arrival of Albanians which ended up turning a Christian region into a Muslim-majority one.

Like Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia, Kosovo tried to break off from the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Serbian resistance led to the Kosovo War, with both the United Nations and NATO intervening to stop violence.

Kosovo's future is still uncertain. There is not set date for United Nations administration to end, but until recently it was thought that it would soon become an independent state. The agreement which ended the Kosovo War essentially severed all of Kosovo's ties with the state of Serbia, which no longer has governing authority in the territory. In addition, Kosovo has had territory-wide elections for a legislature, President, and Prime Minister. Recent negotiations have been stalled due to Russia's support of Serbian sovereignty over Kosovo.

Ronald Ernest “Ron” Paul (born 20 August, 1935) is a 10th-term Congressman, a former Air Force Flight Surgeon, a medical doctor (M.D.) and a 2008 presidential candidate from the U.S. state of Texas. As a Republican, he has represented Texas's 14th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1997, and had previously served as the representative from Texas's 22nd district in 1976 and from 1979 to 1985.

Paul, a pro-life former libertarian who advocates the limited role of government, low taxes, free markets, strict construction of the U.S. Constitution and a return to monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. He has earned the nickname "Dr. No" for voting against any bill he believes violates the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Paul is the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill. He has never voted to raise taxes or congressional pay. He has always voted against the USA PATRIOT Act, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, and the Iraq War.

Congressional record
*He has never voted to raise taxes.
*He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
*He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
*He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
*He has never taken a government-paid junket.
*He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
*He voted against the Patriot Act.
*He voted against regulating the Internet.
*He voted against the US invasion of Iraq.
*He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
*He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
*He introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any other single member of Congress.

Early life and education
Dr. Ron Paul was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Howard Caspar Paul and Margaret Paul. He graduated from Dormont High School in Dormont, Pennsylvania, in 1953. Paul attended Gettysburg College, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1957, and the Duke University School of Medicine, receiving M.D. in 1961. He did his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, from 1961 to 1962, and was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1968. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies. He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have seventeen grandchildren.

Political affiliations and support
Although a Republican, Paul remains on good terms with the Libertarian Party and addressed its national convention as recently as 2004.

Paul served as the honorary chairman of and is a current member of the Republican Liberty Caucus, a political action organization dedicated to promoting the ideals of individual rights, limited government and free enterprise within the Republican Party.

Unlike many political candidates, Paul receives the overwhelming majority of his campaign contributions (96.8% in 2005-2006), from individuals.

Political Views
Paul wants to "reinstate the Constitution and restore the Republic." He rejects a welfare state or nanny state role for the federal government, and advocates a strong non-interventionist foreign policy.

He voted against the Iraq War in 2002 and has offered alternatives such as granting the President authority to grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and arming pilots. He is the only Republican presidential candidate to have voted against the Iraq War.

Paul's desire to secure U.S. borders remains a key topic in his 2008 presidential campaign. He opposes the North American Union proposition and its proposed integration of Mexico, the United States of America, and Canada. Paul voted "yes" on the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which authorizes the construction of an additional 700 miles of double-layered fencing between the U.S and Mexico. Paul opposes illegal immigration as well as amnesty for illegal immigrants.

In the May 3, 2007 GOP Debate, Ron Paul stated that as President, he would seek the immediate abolition of the IRS and the abolition of the income tax. As Congressman, he has long fought for the prohibition of direct taxes by repeal of the 16th Amendment which created the income tax. Ron Paul supports a return to the gold standard of currency particularly newer theorized pure strain gold.

2008 Presidential Campaign
Paul formally declared his candidacy for the Presidential election in 2008 in 12 March, 2007 as a guest on Washington Journal on C-SPAN. . In regards to his candidacy, he had a 30-minute interview with online political analyst James Kotecki regarding foreign policy, Congress and the Constitution, and personal liberties.

Paul participated (along with nine other Republican presidential candidates) in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library's 2008 Republican Presidential Candidates Debate on May 3, 2007. Ron Paul finished first in the MSNBC poll following the GOP primary debate with 43 percent -- beating second place Mitt Romney by 5 percentage points.

Paul seemed to have dropped slightly in the polls that followed the second Republican debate in Columbia, South Carolina, to 25 percent. This was probably as a result of his suggestion that weekly bombing of Iraq following Operation Desert Fox in December 1998 may have contributed sufficiently to Arab anger at the United States as to make the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks inevitable. Paul was excoriated by Rudy Giuliani, who said that this was the most bizarre explanation for the attacks he had ever heard. Other Republican commentators sought to explain Paul's continued strength in post-debate polls as the result of multiple votes by his supporters or voting by non-Republicans. In response to Rudy Giuliani, the next day at the National Press Club, Ron Paul offered Rudy a book list to read regarding the issue of American foreign policy. These books are Imperial Hubris by Michael Scheuer, Dying to Win by Robert Pape, Blowback by Chalmers Johnson, and The 9-11 Commission Report by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks.

Eric Dondero, a former Ron Paul staffer, has declared himself a candidate against Paul in the 2008 Republican primary election to represent the 14th District of Texas in Congress.

Possible Campaign censorship by the Media
Fox News has more times excluded Ron Paul from its programs, even in at least one case removing him from Iowa Straw Poll results. Fox News' results left out Paul (as well as Tom Tancredo), even though they scored 9.1% and 13.7%, respectively .

Straw Poll results
Ron Paul was recently established as the most frequent winner of Straw Poll, as reported on his site: .

Telephone Hotline
What mores! and is nowadays used as an exclamation to point out the corruption of morals, habits and attitudes by time.

*He voted against the Iraq war.

Campaign censorship by the media
Fox News has more times excluded Ron Paul from its programmes, even in at least one case removing him from Straw Poll results, compare Fox News' results: , in those Straw Polls Ron Paul scored 9.1% and Tom Tancredo reached 13.7%, but were removed from the results, (even wikipedia is in this case more reliable than Fox News and reports the results correctly: ).

Straw Poll results
Ron Paul has recently established as the most frequent winner of Straw Poll, as reported on his site: .

Telephone Hotline
Ron Paul runs a toll-free telephone hotline with a recorded message of conservative commentary. It is updated every Monday. The number is 1-888-322-1414.

hey im supprised that there isn`t more info on his religious views, even fox are suggesting that all the religious talk means he doesn`t have to talk about real politics. Personally I quite like the guy he seems like a genuine caring person but I think if he does win the republican nomination the democrats will win the election. He is too conservative to pull in any democrat votes. This is what fox are saying and I think it might be true, if he wins the nomination the republicans dont stand a chance of winning the presidency. I know this might be a little hard to swallow for some but i think its true, just as the democrats dont stand a chance if the nominate a far left nut, the same (not that im calling any1 a nut) could be said for the GOP. --Realist2 09:13, 19 December 2007 (EST)

By the way in not American im british but i find American politics fasinating, British politics are dull and theres no difference in the parties, all of them, even our most conservative mainstream party is centre, maybe centre left! If you do want to vote for a conservative party the only option is the BNP (British National Party) but them are racists so no-one likes them and they get like 3% of the vote. --Realist2 09:20, 19 December 2007 (EST)
