Paul Albert Anka was born on July 30, 1941 in Ottawa, Canada and
in 1990 became a naturalized citizen of the United States.

With his youth in the big band era and the infancy of rock and roll,
as a teenager Paul traveled to New York City to audition for ABC
singing a song he wrote about a former babysitter named “Diana.”
The song rocketed to the top of the Hit Parade in 1957 and became
one of the best selling recordings of all time. He followed up with chart toppers,
“You Are My Destiny,” “Lonely Boy,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,”
“It’s Time to Cry,” “Puppy Love,” “My Home Town,” “Dance on Little Girl,”
“Goodnight My Love,” “You’re Having My Baby,” “One Man Woman,
One Woman Man,” “I Don’t Like to Sleep Alone,” and “Times Of Your Life.”

With more than 200 songs to his credit, Paul Anka’s talent as a
songwriter also gave Buddy Holly a giant hit, “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore,”
Tom Jones a #1 hit, “She’s A Lady,” and Frank Sinatra’s signature song
“My Way.” Besides writing the theme for Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show
he also wrote the theme for the hit movie “The Longest Day.”

A headliner in Las Vegas casino’s Paul Anka continues to tour world
wide, was elected to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and has a star
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has achieved international success
in every venue of show business, as a recording artist,
a songwriter, a screen actor and on stage.

Paul Anka was inducted into the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2007.
