The Democratic Party of Albania is one of the two biggest parties in Albania. Its chairman is Sali Berisha. The Democratic Party started as an oppositional movement to the Stalinist dictator Enver Hoxha. Since the fall of communism it competes with the Socialist Party of Albania.
