Mindless equality is the insistence that everybody be treated equally in disregard of valid reasons for different treatment. Examples include:
- treating as equal old ladies and young men in screening at airports
- treating as equal women and men in filling combat positions in the military
- treating as equal all types of music, from Beethoven to vulgar rap performers
- treating as equal literature and science from all cultures, no matter how primitive
- in Atlanta a female magazine editor has complained that 'Men at Work' signs are biased.[1]
