This study very clearly shows that homosexuals tend to be more obese because of their sexual orientation. Any two attributes that have been shown to relate to eachother are in a cause-effect relationship (in other words, one causes the other). For example, since countries with less televisions per capita tend to have shorter life expectancies, something about being close to televisions causes people to live longer. Another example is this study: Homosexuality causes obesity.

In regards to lesbianism and obesity, in April of 2007, the American Journal of Public Health analyzed data from 2002 National Survey of Family Growth and the data suggested that American lesbian women were 2.69 times more likely to be overweight and 2.47 times more likely to be obese than all other female sexual orientation groups. [1] The abstract for this study indicated that "lesbians are at greater risk for morbidity and mortality linked to overweight and obesity." [1] This study very clearly shows that homosexuals tend to be more obese because of their sexual orientation.
