A danish is a sweet pastry that was created in Denmark and is popular in coffeeshops such as Starbucks throughout the world. The danish consists of a thin buttered dough which is folded into many layers. Most danishes include flour, yeast, milk, eggs, and they may also have nuts, especially almonds.
