Fear of the Lord is a phrase that appears repeatedly throughout the Bible, including the following below. There are just as many uses of "Fear the Lord," all of which are in the Old Testament.

Possible improved English translations of this phrase are worth considering. Fear can certainly be a strong motivator, yet Jesus himself did not use this phrase.
