Cornel West is an activist, academic, and prominent Black Liberation theologian.[1] Cornel has written several books, including "Race Matters" (paperback 1994, then republished on its 25th anniversary with a new introduction).[2]

He is a Professor of Philosophy and Christian Practice at Union Theological Seminary and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University.[3]

Cornel West announced his candidacy for president in the 2024 presidential election in June 2023.[4] As of December 2023, West was polling at 6% as an independent candidate in the general election, which is more than enough to prevent Biden from winning this key swing state.[5]
