John Thompson said, "Tchaikowsky had a great gift for melody which is apparent in all his music, but particularly so in his Overture to "Romeo and Juliet". [1][1]

Ed; I would treat this John Thompson bloke with a some suspicion if I were you. There is no "Overture to Romeo and Juliet" any more than there is an "Overture to 1812". AlanE 16:11, 8 September 2008 (EDT)
