Talk:Kant

"Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was one of the most famous philosophers ever, and is therefore one of the best philosophers ever."

This statement seems too random and normative. The same line of logic could be used in the Nietzsche entry, but he's obviously not favored by the conservative community. It's sloppily-constructed openings for contradiction like this that could get us in trouble.

"Kant is taught in all college philosophy departments to this day, though not for praising Christianity!"

This is a pretty broad, unsubstantiated assertion. There are dozens of authors in the philosophical canon who are taught in all colleges, so why single out Kant? And why add the parenthetical about "Christianity!".

I guess what I'm saying is that the tone of this entry is a little too laudatory and amateurish.
