The Abortion Act 1967 was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, introduced as a Private Member's Bill by the now-disgraced pedophile defender David Steel, which in effect legalised the murder of unborn children or, as the legislation refers to it, 'abortion'. As of 2024, around 10 million unborn children have been killed in abortions carried out within the provisions of the Act.[1][2] As such, many view the Abortion Act 1967 as one of the worst crimes against humanity in European history. As far back as its introduction in the 1960s, the Act was compared to the Nazi crimes against humanity; even abortion doctor Aleck Bourne predicted it would lead to "the greatest Holocaust in history".

Abortion in the UK has been described by Jacob Rees-Mogg MP as a "cult of death", while Carla Lockhart MP used her maiden speech in the UK Parliament to call out abortion. The Act was labelled a "national tragedy" in 2020 by Antonia Tully.[3] The Act is rooted in pseudoscience and significant elements of it are opposed by a large percentage of the public in the UK.[1]

Background

The bill was introduced by Scottish Liberal MP David Steel. Steel can be considered to have made a career out of failing children; aside from being the architect of the mass murder of over 10 million unborn children, he also defended pedophiles in his own party, especially Cyril Smith MP, victims of whom have described Steel as being "just as bad" as Smith.[4]

Pseudoscience of the Abortion Act 1967

In effect, the Abortion Act 1967 allows for the murder of unborn children for almost any reason up to 24 weeks. It is possible for babies to be born at 24 weeks, clearly showing the Act makes no consideration of the sentience of unborn children. Around 70% of women in the UK favour reducing the abortion time limit in the UK to 20 weeks or lower.[1]
