Activism is the pursuit of political or social goals by action such a protests, public speaking or community organizing. In particular, activism may refer to:
- Nonviolent activism
- Judicial activism
- Environmental activism
- Antichristian activism
- Homosexual activism
- Gay rights activism
- Transgender activism
In the broad sense defined above, Christians are called to be activists of a very different sort:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)
