Adolescence is the process of maturing that commences when a child reaches the age of puberty and lasts through the main part of the teenage years; it is the process that turns a child into an adult. A person passing through adolescence is known as an adolescent. Many Liberals remained trapped in intellectual adolescence into their (physical) adulthood, relying on sniggering innuendo and immature forms of debate where their political beliefs fail them.
