Alex Jones

Alex Jones is a paleoconservative libertarian talk show radio host, video blogger (YouTube) and podcaster. His show, The Alex Jones Show, is a part of his larger projects Infowars and Prison Planet, which usually deal with governmental Nanny state failures, the existence of a coming police state, constitutionalism and government conspiracies. He is very pro-life and has gone to many anti-Planned Parenthood protests.

He has also appeared several times as a guest on Coast to Coast AM.

On August 6, 2018, Jones was "unpersoned" when the monopoly controlled tech companies colluded to delete all of his content and ban him from their platforms. Commentator Mark Dice referred to it as "the digital equivalent of book burning." The move was widely interpreted by First Amendment activists as a threat by liberal censors against the free exchange of ideas among consevatives.

Political views

Jones was a supporter of the presidential election campaign of Ron Paul and he is a strong advocate of the Second Amendment and vigorously opposes all forms of gun control. He has also been an avid supporter of President Donald Trump, condemning him only after he launched missiles at a Syrian government airfield.

He also doesn't believe in evolution.[1]

Megyn Kelly attempted to deface Jones in a heavily edited interview with her NBC show Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly, but this backfired and now Kelly's career is in jeopardy. According to Jones, Kelly lied to Alex about what the interview would be about; figuring that Kelly and NBC would turn the interview into a selectively-edited hit piece, Jones made sure to record the entire interview himself so he would have proof of Kelly's and NBC's duplicity.[2][3]

Jones has declared himself a staunch supporter of Israel, but he has also made several statements deemed anti-Semitic. During the 2017 antifa/alt-right riots in Charlottesville, he claimed that Jews posed as Ku Klux Klan followers in the rally: "I mean, quite frankly, I've been to these events, a lot of the KKK guys with their hats off look like they’re from the cast of 'Seinfeld'." In the same year, he also accused "the Jewish mafia" for supporting efforts by moderate Republicans to "derail the Trump presidency."[4]

Conspiracy theories

Jones is accused of being a conspiracy theorist by many people. Despite Jones claiming that he is a conservative, most conservatives disagree with his views.[5]

Jones has promoted conspiracy theories. For example, he claimed the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax, though this was merely him considering all the theories on the shooting. Bereaved families have been subjected to online abuse and death threats from "activists" claiming the families were actors in a government false flag operation. The town committee is considering a written appeal to President Trump asking him to speak out against the conspiracy theorists.[6]

He is a 9/11 "truther", believing that 9/11 was pulled off by traitors of the United States Government (New World Order members) and various other politicians and high ranking military officials from several other countries. Jones believes that there was something more than the planes crashing into the buildings that led to the Twin Towers eventually being destroyed. This may be a result of him watching the film Zeitgeist: The Movie, which attempts to prove that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by a foreign government as well as partly influenced by the Bush administration. He also believes that Osama bin Laden was killed ten years before his official death in 2011.[7]

He has made many documentary videos about how the government is infringing on civil rights or to make claims about an alleged 9/11 conspiracy.

Jones was the Executive Producer for Loose change.

In late June, 2017, Jones had a guest, Robert David Steele, who advanced a conspiracy theory that many people consider quite bizarre. It says that NASA sent children to Mars to be used as slaves.[8] Mr. Steele said

It [pedophilia] also includes murdering [children] so that they can have their bone marrow harvested, as well as body parts. ... We actually believe there is a colony on Mars, that is populated by children who were kidnapped and sent into space ... to be slaves on the Mars colony.

Jones neither agreed nor disagreed with this, but he pointed out the quantity of mechanical wreckage on Mars, as though turning off space probes is somehow suspicious. He then said

Well I don't know about Mars bases, but I know that they've [NASA] created massive, thousands of different types of chimeras, that are alien life forms on this Earth.

In response, NASA issued a statement saying that "There are no humans on Mars".[9]

Jones and many others are convinced that Michelle Obama is a transgender and that the Pentagon owns a bomb that’s “turning the frigging frogs gay.” He predicted that on July 4, 2018 Democrats would start a Second Civil War.[10]
