Ali Khamenei (born 1939) is the supreme religious leader of Iran, assuming the position upon the death of Ayatollah Khomeini. Khamenei is the real leader of Iran. All presidential candidates, who are not supporting the regime of Khamenei or the mullahs were eliminated by the Guardian Council.[1] He praised the Occupy Wall Street-movement. Khamenei said the people would lose their patience with the dominance of the United States and Israel in the international community.[2]
