The slogan America First was used in Donald Trump's presidential campaign, evoking a brand of patriotism echoing the foreign policy of previous greats such as George Washington and John Quincy Adams. Danny Toma wrote:

We don't deem someone noble who goes against his own country's interests for the betterment of another country. We call that person a traitor. Just as a father has a primary responsibility to his own family rather than to another family, so too the leader of a nation must look out for his own first, and, only then, help others.[1]

Liberals and globalists, who have little, if any, sense of patriotism, have falsely labeled "America First" as a "racist" national policy.[2]
