Jean-Baptiste Armand Guillaumin (Paris, 1841 – Orly, 1927) was a French Impressionist painter and lithographer. He is considered the most loyal painter to first Impressionism. He met Paul Cezanne and Camille Pissarro at the Academy Suisse in Paris. Later he met George-Pierre Seurat and Paul Signac with whom he formed a lasting friendship.

In the 1890s, his painting was to become more subjective, and he started using very expressive colors, soon anticipating the Fauves. [1]
