The Assassination attempt on President Donald Trump or the J13 assassination attempt occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024, while President Donald J. Trump was on stage at a MAGA rally campaigning for the 2024 Presidential election, and only minutes into his speech when the shooting began.

According to initial reports from the Secret Service, the shooter fired 5 shots before being killed by a Secret Service sniper.[1] However, the Pennsylvania state police testified that they recovered 8 shell casings, indicating that 8 shots were fired by the assassin. The FBI Director Christopher Wray absurdly testified that it may not have been a bullet, but shrapnel, that wounded Trump; two weeks after the fact, the FBI admitted that it was a bullet, obviously.[2]

Trump was injured by a bullet penetrating his right ear, but not his skull. A spectator died and two were seriously injured. Trump himself dropped down as he heard many bullets and was wounded by one, and then was quickly shielded by the Secret Service. As Trump stood up, he was then shielded by agents.[3]

Trump strongly called out to all: 'fight' while pumping his fist several times.[4][5] The crowd chanted: 'USA!'

By only an inch in the path of the bullet that pierced his ear did Trump survive, by the grace of God.[6]

Trump's defiant reaction to the shooting became instantly iconic.[7]

Trump's assassination attempt was condemned by current and former political figures, left and right, the world over. The shooting came just days after President Trump's challenger, Joe Biden, made specific threats to "put Trump in a bullseye". Two days after the failed attempt Donald Trump was re-nominated as the official GOP candidate;[8] the next day Biden announced he may drop out of the race.[9]

The attack marked the first time a sitting or former US president was injured in an unsuccessful assassination attempt since Ronald Reagan was shot in March 1981, over 43 years prior. After Reagan, Trump is the seventh US president to be subject to a successful or unsuccessful assassination attempt, the others being the failed attempt on Theodore Roosevelt, and the succeeded attempts on Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield, William McKinley and John F. Kennedy.

Democrats attempt to remove Secret Service protection

Bennie Thompson field director Jacqueline Marsaw, shared a post on Facebook after President Trump was shot.[10]

In April 2024 Democrats introduced a bill in Congress to remove Secret Service protection from President Donald Trump.[11] The bill's chief sponsor was Rep. Bennie Thompson who chaired the J6 witch hunt. Democrats Joyce Beatty, Troy Carter, Yvette Clarke, Steve Cohen, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Jasmine Crockett, Barbara Lee and Frederica Wilson were co-sponsors.[12] Thompson, the bill's sponsor, has been under investigation for destroying government records related to the J6 committee.[13] Thompson's field director shared a post on Facebook saying "I don’t condone violence but please get some shooting lessons so you don’t miss next time ooops that wasn’t me talking."

For months prior to the shooting Trump's protective detail and the officers protecting the president all requested additional help from the Secret Service and were denied by Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas.[14]

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., whose father Robert F. Kennedy, Sr. was assassinated in June 1968 while campaigning for president, has been denied Secret Service protection. Ever since Bobby Jr's father was killed, all presidential candidates have been granted Secret Service protection. As late as July 2024 the Biden regime still refused to allow Secret Service protection for Bobby Jr.[16]

Secret Service director Kim Cheatle, a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) hiree by Joe Biden, was selected for the position by Jill Biden.[17] Cheatle was on the team that evacuated Dick Cheney on 9/11, and was also on Biden's detail when he was Vice President.[18] Biden appointed Cheatle as Director in 2022. Cheatle claimed there was "nothing nefarious" about the deleted Secret Service texts during the J6 protests.[19] With multiple open and obvious security breaches in the assassination attempt on President Trump, Cheatle resisted calls for her resignation.

Radicalization and incitement

The attempt came after years and more so in recent weeks, the left and liberal media have been vilifying President Trump[21] as being supposedly a "danger to democracy." While, immediately in 2016, the ADL protested the Hitler comparison.[22]

In Nov 2020, CNN's Christiane Amanpour was under fire for comparing President Trump dishonesty to Kristallnacht - 'Night of Broken Glass' pogrom against Jews throughout Nazi Germany.[24]

In August 2023 Tucker Carlson commented on the all-pervasive Democrat hate in liberal media: "Begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment, and none of them work. I mean what’s next? You know, graph it out man! We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously. No one will say that, but I don’t know how you can’t reach that conclusion."[25]

On November 1, 2023, Democrat-supported Lincoln Project[26] co-founder and board member Rick Wilson said on MSNBC: "The donor class can’t just sit back on the sidelines and say oh well, don’t worry, this will all work itself out...They’re still gonna have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump...That’s a fact".[27]

On November 20, 2023 Rep. Dan Goldman, a failed House Impeachment 1.0 prosecutor and apologetic for neo-Nazi stooge said on former Biden regime chief propagandist's MSNBC show, "It is just unquestionable at this point that that man cannot see public office again. He is not only unfit. He is destructive to our democracy,[28] and he has to be eliminated."[29]

On November 30, 2023 anti-Trump neocon Robert Kagan, head of the fake news adjunct to the Ukraine propaganda apparatus, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), wrote an opinion piece in The Washington Post saying, "Will those who balked at resisting Trump when the risk was merely political oblivion suddenly discover their courage when the cost might be the ruin of oneself and one’s family? We are closer to that point today than we have ever been, yet we continue to drift toward dictatorship, still hoping for some intervention that will allow us to escape the consequences of our collective cowardice, our complacent, willful ignorance and, above all, our lack of any deep commitment to liberal democracy."[31]

On Dec 19, 2023, Zeeshan Aleem wrote on MSNBC a piece titled: "Donald Trump has truly earned comparisons to Adolf Hitler".[32]

On Jan 5, 2024, Biden compares 'sick' Trump to Nazis in 2024 campaign launch.[33]

A hot mic caught Journos joking about Trump being assassinated while attending a lawfare hearing in Washington, D.C. in January 2024.[34]

Reported in April 2024: White House staffers refer to Trump as 'Hitler Pig.' [35]

On April 8, 2024: Timothy Ryback in The Los Angeles Times wrote: "Trump turns his trials into a soapbox. Does he know he’s channeling Hitler?"[36] Prompting a reader's response "To the editor: This world has known only one Adolf Hitler."[37]

The New Republic radicalizes the left, June 2024.

The June 2024 issue of the liberal New Republic mouthpiece featured a cover photo designed to inflame of President Trump with a Hitler moustache painted on for a cover story entitled American Fascism.[38][39][40] In a tweet explaining the cover the New Republic said "Today we at the New Republic think we can spend this election year in one of two ways: we could spend it debating whether Trump meets the nine or 17 points that define fascism. Or we could spend it saying he's damn close enough and we'd better fight. We unreservedly choose the latter course."[41]

On July 1, 2024, Jennifer Bendery (a critic of Center for Security Policy) published a piece on HuffPost:[42] "Supreme Court Gives Joe Biden The Legal OK To Assassinate Donald Trump."

On July 2, 2024 Nancy Pelosi appeared on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell:

ANDREA MITCHELL: At this point, there's no one who knows the donor community better than you. You are a legendary fundraiser. There's no one who knows the convention rules better than you. I have to ask you, what are you hearing from the large network of people about whether [Biden] is up to it?

NANCY PELOSI: I hear mixed. Some people are saying because Donald Trump is such an authoritarian and autocrat, we have to win this election. This is not a normal election where you want to win, if you don't, you cooperate and do the best you can for the country and hope to win the next time. This is something that is undermining our democracy. He must be stopped. He cannot be president![43]

To everyone's surprise, Biden refused to step aside after a disastrous debate performance with President Trump on June 27, 2024. Biden was roundly criticized by members of his own party and the liberal media, demanding Biden's resignation.[44] The New York Times reported that Biden told key allies he knew he had only days to salvage his presidency.[45] Politico reported "Biden asks for a week to calm the storm".[46]

On July 5, 2024 Newsweek reported Supreme Court Just Gave Joe Biden 'a Powerful Tool' [47] citing 'legal analyst' Glenn Kirschner who said that Biden possesses "powers" relating to presidential immunity and noted that "he's gonna have to use them to save democracy." The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation posted an analysis on the SCOTUS presidential immunity ruling asking, Did the Supreme Court really just give U.S. presidents the power to assassinate opponents?[48]

On July 7, 2024 some leftists called him a "Hitler."[49]

On July 8, just five days before the shooting, Biden told donors in a conference call, "We’re done talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye."[50][51][52][53][54][55]

The first one to call for Trump to be killed is actually not on the left. On Oct 30, 2016, Self declared 'Proud Fascist' Theodore Shoebat[56], said Trump should be put to death.[57] (Theodore Salameh is very different from his father Walid[58][59][60]).

Post attempted assassination

In a television speech on July 16, 2024, Biden made another Freudian slip referring to the "former Trump".[61]

The shooting

Catastrophic security failure

At 9:00am on July 13, 2024, Butler County Emergency Services Unit (Butler ESU) provided a security briefing for the local SWAT teams and snipers assigned to the rally. The Secret Service did not participate in this security briefing to implement the security plan for the rally.

The shooter arrived at the site 3 hours before President Trump went on stage. At 3pm he triggered a metal detector as he tried to gain access to the event, and was found to be carrying a rangefinder – a gun sight typically used by marksmen preparing to shoot at distance. Security officers allowed him in.

The shooter walked from his van carrying an AR-15 and wearing camouflage pants in plain sight of rallygoers. He came to a building, the American Glass Research (AGR) company, where a ladder had been pre-positioned before time.[63]

The shooter flew a drone over the site to survey the layout.[64] The Secret Service, under Biden DEI appointee Kimberly Cheatle, didn't fly any drones to provide surveillance and warning.[65]

According to CBS News, a team of police snipers was stationed in the same single-story AGR International building, and they saw him outside three times in the minutes leading up to the attack.[66]

At 5:10 p.m., a local police counter-sniper in an AGR building first observed the shooter acting suspiciously. Four minutes later, this officer captured two photos of the shooter.[67]

The Secret Service identified the shooter as a suspicious person 57 minutes before the shooting, and 52 minutes before the president took to the stage to address rallygoers.[68] Dir. Cheatle testified a team of Secret Service was sent out to interview the suspicious person.

He climbed the ladder in full sight of rallygoers carrying his AR-15. Eyewitnesses notified the police of his presence.[69][70]

Suspected shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks

The shooter was bear-crawling up the roof[71] of an elevated structure a few hundred meters away outside the venue.[72] The shooter had explosive devices in his vehicle parked near the rally,[73] showing he had an elaborated plan.

The line of sight (LOS) distance from the building's rooftop was approximately 130 yards to the podium where President Trump was speaking. Why the rooftop was not secured and protected raises lots of questions as to why, and whether there was proper oversight within the Secret Service.

A local law enforcement officer climbed to the roof and found the shooter, who pointed the rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder, and the gunman quickly fired toward Trump.[74]

The Secret Service sniper team is said to have had him in their sights for several minutes before taking him out. The rules of engagement (ROE) prohibited the Secret Service from shooting until the gunman shot first.

He is said to have hidden the rifle in advance of the rally.[75]

The shooter killed retired fire chief Corey Comperatore, critically injuring 2 others, and grazing President Trump's right ear.

Initially a Secret Service press spokesperson reported that the shooter got off 5 shots and was "neutralized" by Secret Service snipers with 3 shots;[76] under sworn testimony Dir. Kim Cheatle testified the shooter was "neutralized" by one sniper with one shot.

At approximately 6:23pm local law enforcement with a man initially believed to be Secret Service was seen on the roof of the AGR building;[77] photos of the deceased shooter were taken and thought to be Secret Service directed local law enforcement to send the photos to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in Philadelphia for facial recognition.[78]

An identified shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks,[80][81] asked his boss for the day off, telling him he had 'something to do,' [82] and had conducted internet searches for mass shooter Ethan Crumbley, major political figures and political events such as that Trump rally,[83] as well as how to build explosives.[84]

The shooter was reported to have 3 overseas bank accounts.

On July 6, Crooks did a Google search for ‘How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?'” (Christopher Wray told a congressional hearing on July 24).[85]

He was a 20-year-old male from Bethel Park, PA, a nursing home employee,[86] was socially awkward with no political profile, according to his classmates;[87] Crooks starred in a Blackrock commercial filmed at Bethel Park High School, from which he graduated in 2022.[88][89] BlackRock, which donated a record amount to Democrats in the 2022 Midterm elections,[90] stands to lose "the billions of dollars it has invested in Ukraine" if President Trump wins reelection in 2024.[91] The New York Times reported about oligarch activities over the 4th of July just days before the assassination attempt, " As more leading Democrats say privately that President Biden should withdraw from the presidential race, some of the party’s most prominent backers on Wall Street spent the holiday weekend debating what to do next...The group — including Larry Fink of BlackRock; Robert Rubin, the former Treasury secretary; Jon Gray of Blackstone; Peter Orszag of Lazard; Blair Effron of Centerview Partners; and Robert Wolf, a former UBS executive close to Barack Obama — talked to friends, colleagues and in some cases each other about whether to stick with Biden."[92]

A classmate recalled being mocked by Crooks for the classmate's support of Trump in 2016:

“ [T]he 20-year-old gunman once mocked him over his support of former President Donald Trump and had a general disdain for mainstream politicians across the political aisle.

"I brought up the fact that I'm Hispanic and, you know, I'm for Trump. And he said, 'Well, you're Hispanic, so shouldn't you hate Trump?'" Vincent Taormina told Fox News Digital Tuesday. "No. He's great. He was a great president. He called me stupid – or insinuated that I was stupid."[93]

While the Deep State fails to address the high correlation between young mass murderers like Crooks' and violent video games, it did disclose that "investigators found an image of the arrest photo of Ethan Crumbley," who murdered classmates at his school, on Crooks' phone.[94] And of course his said message on a gaming platform hinting at the fateful Saturday.

"According to the New York Times, federal campaign-finance records show" a Thomas Crooks (no middle name) "donated $15 to the Progressive Turnout Project, a liberal voter turnout group, through the Democratic donation platform ActBlue in January 2021."[95] Whether or not this is the same Thomas Crooks remains to be seen. Hours before the incident, the aforementioned progressive TurnoutPAC tweeted about Trump supposedly "destroying Democracy." Quote:

“ It's simple people: Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and another four years of him would be detrimental to our country. ”

The tweet was still left even after the assassination.

The Epoch Times reported that Bethel Park High School refuted claims that Crooks had been a member of the school's shooting team or that he was the victim of bullying.[96]

Timeline

The following preliminary timeline was provided by local law enforcement to Sen. Ron Johnson; the Secret Service, Biden DOJ, Biden FBI and Biden Homeland Security Dept. failed to comply with any requests for public briefings.

  • 9:00am—Butler ESU holds a briefing for the local SWAT and Sniper units from Butler County, Beaver County, and Washington County providing security for the event.
  • According to attendees of the briefing, no Secret Service or other federal law enforcement is present for this briefing.
"Kid [lurking] around building we are in...."
  • 10:30am—Two local law enforcement snipers are in position on the second floor inside the American Glass Research (AGR) building.
  • 4:26pm—First text from local law enforcement about suspicious person, Thomas Crooks, goes out.
  • 5:10pm—Thomas Matthew Crooks is first observed by one of the snipers (AGR sniper 1) at the AGR building.
  • 5:14pm—AGR sniper 1 takes pictures of Crooks.
  • 5:28pm—AGR sniper 1 takes a picture of a bicycle and what appears to be two bags located near the AGR building. It is unclear what happened to the bicycle and bags after July 13, 2024.
  • 5:32pm—AGR sniper 1 spots Crooks looking at his phone and using a rangefinder.
  • 5:38pm—AGR sniper 1 sends a message to the “Sniper Group” about Crooks ("Kid [lurking] around building we are in...").
  • 5:40pm—AGR sniper 1 is told to “call into command” regarding Crooks.
  • 5:41pm—AGR sniper 1 calls into command and provides a description of Crooks and the rangefinder, as well as that Crooks was “lurking around [the] AGR building.”
  • 5:45pm—Sniper teams receive text and photos of suspicious person and threat Thomas Crooks.
  • 5:49pm—Photos of Crooks are sent to Butler ESU Command.
  • 5:55pm—Butler ESU Command confirms receipt of the photos and states they have been relayed on.
  • 5:59pm—Butler ESU Command asks for the direction that Crooks is traveling. AGR sniper 1 is initially unsure of the direction Crooks is traveling.
  • 6:05pm—AGR sniper 1 later communicates that Crooks is seen moving northeast “in the direction of Sheetz [a convenience store]" and that Crooks has a backpack.
  • 6:06-6:12pm—AGR sniper 1 goes to ground floor of the building to meet local law enforcement patrol to alert them to Crooks' presence.
  • Approx. 6:11pm—Crooks begins shooting.
  • Secret Service reportedly returns fire and Crooks is killed.
  • 6:23pm—Beaver County SWAT operators access the roof where Crooks is located and confirm Crooks is deceased.
  • According to those SWAT operators, there was local law enforcement from another county and at least one Secret Service agent, wearing a suit, also on the roof.[97]
  • 6:46pm—Crooks is patted down. Law enforcement reportedly finds a transmitter device, Crooks' phone, and the rangefinder in Crooks pockets.
  • 7:45pm-7:46pm—At the request of Allegheny Bomb Squad, local law enforcement text pictures of Crooks and the items near his body to a phone number with a 215 area code (from the Philadelphia area) associated with an ATF agent. ATF reportedly is using the pictures of Crooks to run facial recognition.

I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response to the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Later, Trump sent out an email:[99][100] 'I will Never Surrender!'

Donald Trump shared two word post: UNITE AMERICA

Moments after Biden addressed the nation about the assassination attempt on his Republican rival. “UNITE AMERICA!” Trump, wrote on Truth Social.[101]

The following day, Donald Trump vowed to carry on with the GOP convention.[87]

Donald Trump's son Eric Trump reacted:[102] "Never surrender!" And:[103]"This is the fighter America needs."

In the first interview post-incident, "grateful, defiant Trump recounted surviving ‘surreal’ assassination attempt at rally: 'I'm supposed to be dead.'"[104] At his first rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan Trump said, "I took a bullet for democracy".[105]

Reactions

Former US Attorney General Bill Barr tweeted:[106]

The Democrats have to stop their grossly irresponsible talk about Trump being an existential threat to democracy - he is not.”

Commentators[107] brought up Democrats' reaction to Antifa 2020 violence. As well as violence at the anti-Israel riots (Oct 7 War) and most of the charges at Columbia University rioters dropped by Alvin Bragg, an elected Democrat; the reaction to the (Genocidal) "From the river to the sea."

The Federalist asked, Do Democrats, Corporate Media Have Blood On Their Hands In Trump Attack?[108]

WSJ: 'Biden’s rhetoric grew heated in recent days.'[109]

Daily Telegraph:[110] "Nazi comparisons, which would be greeted with furious offence if they came the other way, have become commonplace among the Left."

Elon Musk tweeted, "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery." Former Obama ally, Wall Street billionaire Bill Ackman endorsed Trump following attempted assassination.[111]

'No place in our country’: US Jewish leaders slam Trump shooting. [112]

Argentine conservative President Javier Milei posted his reaction on X:[113]

“ The desperation of the international left, that today sees how its nefarious ideology is expiring and is willing to destabilize democracies and promote violence to entrench itself in power, is not surprising. With panic upon losing at the ballot, they resort to terrorism to impose their retrograde and authoritarian agenda. ”

Milei posted a second message responding to a video of Democrat former Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler in a television appearance.

“ The little politically correct leftists are all cut from the same cloth, it doesn’t matter where in the world you look. When in society a deviant adjective appears, there they will be to label their opponents with that adjective… we have several of these sinister beings in the country who can count on their journalist accomplices.

Easy, look for the politicians who do this and the journalists who play their game. There you will find the true enemies of LIBERTY. The cultural battle never stops. Long live liberty, damn it!

'God bless Trump’: Israeli politicos react to assassination attempt. Israelis from across the political spectrum on Sunday conveyed overwhelming support for Donald Trump following the attempt on his life at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the assassination attempt on the former president and presumptive Republican nominee for the White House “is not only a heinous crime, it is also an attempt to assassinate American democracy.”[114]

Russia called on the United States to "take stock" of its "policies of incitement to hatred," funding Ukrainian Nazis.[115]

On the other hand:

Tyler Barbieri, an NYC budget analyst lamented the assassin's failure to kill Trump. Writing "too bad he missed." He was suspended.[116]


The (Islamist[117][118][119][120] Hatem Bazian[121]'s) SJP - Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at University of California San Diego claims the shooting of former Trump was "staged" to "distract" from (anti-terror[122]) operations in Khan Yunis.[123]

Unanswered questions

As of July 21, 2024, unanswered questions include:

  • Why the federal agents failed to act quickly on the information they had.
  • Why the agents did not shoot first. (Secret Service took nearly 6 seconds.[125])
  • Why the agents did not notify Trump
  • Why the agents did not postpone the speech 5-10 minutes to assess and address the threat
  • Whether there was a communications breakdown
  • Why a kid who fit the profile of a school shooter was not taken more seriously as a potential threat

Investigations

Congress

Rep. Ruben Gallego, an Arizona Democrat running for the US Senate said, “Those responsible for the planning, approving and executing of this clearly insufficient security plan need to testify before Congress and be held accountable."[126]

Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle resigned on July 23, 2024, the day after a stultifying testimony before the House Oversight Committee leaving both Democrats and Republicans with more questions than answers.

FBI director Christopher Wray testified that the FBI was only investigating Thomas Crooks and not the malfeasance with the Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security.[127]

Biden regime FBI

The Biden FBI, the same agency that ran Operation Crossfire Hurricane and framed up the bogus predicate for the Mar-a-Lago raid and Trump classified documents prosecution, took charge of the alleged "investigation".[128][129]

On July 24, 2024 President Trump and House Oversight Committee chair Rep. James Comer[130] called for FBI director Christopher Wray's resignation after Wray was called to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on the status of the investigation.[131]

On July 29 it was reported that "Trump agrees to give a victim interview to the FBI."[132]
