Bonds is widely suspected of having used performance-enhancing drugs in the later part of his career.  Since [[steroid]] tests have been instituted, he has never failed a test.  The investigations into the allegations are continuing.  On November 15, 2007, Bonds was indicted for perjury for information he gave during questioning back in 2003. He was convicted in 2011 of one count of obstruction of justice for giving an incomplete answer to a question, and the jury could not reach a verdict on perjury.
