The Battle of Shanghai (August 13, 1937 - November 26, 1937) was a major battle of the Second Sino-Japanese War; over one million troops were involved in the battle. The right-wing Guomindang, despite their disarray, fought on the frontlines against Japanese invaders,[1] while the Communists throughout the war colluded with the Japanese Army.
