Belarusian is a Slavic language, which is spoken in Belarus by almost 8 million people. It is written in the Cyrillic alphabet. The pro-Russian president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko added the Russian language as second official language. So more and more Belarusians start to talk Russian.
