Bev Perdue

Bev Perdue is a former governor of North Carolina. She is a Democrat and was elected in 2008, replacing Mike Easley. Perdue was the 73rd Governor of North Carolina, and the state's first female to hold the position. Prior to being elected as Governor, she held the position of Lieutenant Governor. Bev grew up in the coal mining mountains of Southwest Virginia and has lived most of her adult life in New Bern, North Carolina. She is married to Bob Eaves and has two sons and five grandchildren.
