The Black September Organization was a Palestinian terrorist group that perpetrated the raid on the Israeli quarters in the athlete's village at the Munich Olympics in 1972. Its leader was Ali Hassan Salameh. Black September joined support from the terrorist organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The organization was formed within the Fatah of Yasser Arafat and apparently received its orders from the Fatah security apparatus. It was dissolved by Fatah in 1974.[1]
