Bob Ney

Bob Ney was a Republican Congressman who represented the 18th Congressional District of Ohio, until his resignation in November 2006 after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy and making false statements related to the Jack Abramoff scandal.

In January 2007 he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, a $6000 fine, and 200 hours of community service. He was incarcerated in a low-security federal facility in Morgantown, West Virginia, and was released in August 2008 after serving 17 months. Since his release he has been a political contributor for Talk Radio News Service.
