A body encompasses all the members of a separate entity. Generally an entity of mass or people. A body of water is separate from the other lakes and rivers. A student body is a group of people; but most often a body refers to a group of organs. The Human Body is a primary example, but animals and plants also have "bodies".

Body in Buddhism

Body or Rupa in Sanskrit is the first of the Five aggregates in Buddhist philosophy of mind.
