The '''Bolsheviks''' were a wing of the [[Russia]]n Social-Democratic Workers' Party.  They seized control of the government in Russia in the [[October Revolution]] under [[Vladimir Ilyich Lenin]] and became the dominant political power.

They were one of two [[Marxist]] groups in Russia. The Bolsheviks' goal was a violent revolution by a small group of people as quickly as possible. The Bolsheviks were very extreme and violent.
