Bowling for Columbine
Bowling for Columbine is a 2002 schlockumentary directed by and starring leftist propagandist Michael Moore. It is a pro-gun control film, and distorts facts in favor of gun control. The film's title comes from the fact that the Columbine High School killers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, were thought to have attended a bowling class before the murder spree (this turned out to be incorrect). It shows that Canada is more social, safer and better than the United States. Moore also interviews Marilyn Manson and Matt Stone in the film. Ironically Stone is a supporter of the Second Amendment.
The film, due to its liberal nature, won best documentary at the 2003 Academy Awards.
The movie Michael Moore Hates America revealed a fake in this film. In this film Moore goes to a bank, where he get a weapon as a present for the opening of a bank account. But the actors in this movie have said that this only happened on Moore's request.
Another notable element to the film was the animated segment "Brief history of the USA" that distorted history in order to make it seem as though the NRA and similar groups were implemented by racists, using similar animation to that of South Park. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park as well as libertarian in their politics, condemned Moore for this, and ended up responding to the segment years later with the film Team America: World Police by giving Michael Moore a cameo as a suicide bomber and making his death especially graphic by filling his dummy with lots of ham.
